Maintenance and precautions for vacuum pumps

Boao Vacuum Pumps | Professional Vacuum Pump Manufacturer

1. Regularly check the oil level position, and if it does not meet the requirements, adjust it to meet the requirements. When the vacuum pump is running, the oil level should be at the center of the oil mark.

2. Regularly check the oil quality. If there is any deterioration, replace it with new oil in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the vacuum pump.

3. The oil change cycle is determined by the user based on actual usage and whether it meets performance requirements. When using a new vacuum pump to remove clean and dry gases, it is recommended to replace the oil every 100 hours of operation. After the absence of black metal powder in the oil, the oil change period can be appropriately extended in the future.

In general, after running for 2000 hours, the vacuum pump should be repaired, the aging degree of the rubber seal should be checked, the exhaust valve plate should be checked for cracks, and any dirt on the valve plate and exhaust valve seat should be cleaned. Clean the parts inside the entire vacuum pump chamber, such as the rotor, rotor, spring, etc. Usually cleaned and dried with gasoline. After cleaning the rubber components, wipe them dry with a dry cloth. Be careful when handling during cleaning and assembly to avoid damage.

5. If conditions permit, clean the pipeline to ensure it is unobstructed.

After reassembly, a trial run should be carried out, usually requiring a 2-hour idle run and two oil changes. Due to the presence of a certain amount of volatile substances during the cleaning process of the vacuum pump, it should be put into normal operation after normal operation.

7. Check if the vacuum pump pipes and joints are loose. Rotate the vacuum pump by hand to see if it is flexible.

8. Add bearing lubricating oil to the bearing body and observe that the oil level should be at the centerline of the oil mark. Lubricating oil should be replaced or replenished in a timely manner.

9. Unscrew the inlet plug of the vacuum pump body and inject water (or slurry).

10. Close the gate valve, outlet pressure gauge, and inlet vacuum gauge of the outlet pipeline.

11. Inch the motor and check if the rotation direction is correct.

12. Start the motor, and when the vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and inlet vacuum pump. After observing the appropriate pressure displayed, gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load condition.

13. Try to control the flow rate and head of the vacuum pump within the range indicated on the label to ensure that the vacuum pump operates at the highest efficiency point, thereby achieving significant energy-saving effects.

During the operation of the vacuum pump, the bearing temperature should not exceed the ambient temperature of 35 degrees Celsius and the maximum should not exceed 80 degrees Celsius.

If any abnormal sound is found in the vacuum pump, it should be stopped immediately and the cause checked.

When it is necessary to stop the vacuum pump, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.

17. In the first month of vacuum pump operation, the lubricating oil should be replaced after 100 hours, and then every 500 hours.

18. Regularly adjust the packing gland to ensure normal dripping inside the packing chamber (preferably dripping).

19. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and replace it in a timely manner if there is obvious wear.

When using a vacuum pump in cold winter, after parking, the drain plug at the bottom of the pump body must be unscrewed to completely drain the medium. Prevent frost cracking.

If the vacuum pump is not used for a long time, it is necessary to remove all pumps, dry the water, apply grease to rotating parts and joints, and store them properly.
